Pre impregnated catalyst

Pre impregnated catalyst

Technical data sheet

Europhtal additive 8120: is ready to use mercaptan oxidation catalyst used in fixed bed reactor in kerosene sweetening unit. It's impregnated carbon with catalyst.

A fixed bed catalyst allows oxidation of heavier mercaptan found in jet fuel, kerosene, heavy cracked gasoline and others.

Catalyst impregnation on activated carbon is a complex and fundamental step for sweetening efficiency.

In situ impregnation is time consuming and dangerous operation. Operators are faced to charcoal dust and chemical (ammonia, acetic acid, and others).

For that, Europhtal developed impregnated catalyst 8120, a ready to use pre-impregnated carbon. We select most adapted charcoal and we homogeneously impregnate it to provide highly active fixed bed catalyst.

That's why, Europhtal developed pre impregnated catalyst 8120, a ready to use pre-impregnated active carbon. We select most adapted charcoal and we homogeneously impregnate it to provide highly active fixed bed catalyst.

Application

Europhtal additive 8120 is specially employed to sweet heavy hydrocarbons (Kerosene, heavy gasoline). This catalyst is a pre-impregnated catalyst. This pre-impregnated charcoal was developed in partner ship with an actived carbon specialist in order to improve catalyst activity (run length and catalytic performances).

Advantages

Europhtal additive 8120 allows to:

  • Sweet heavy hydrocarbons (kerosene, heavy gasoline)
  • Improvement catalyst life
  • Guaranteed impregnation performance
  • Have any solid formation
  • Ready to be use
  • Easy handling.

Benefits

In addition to a high activity mercaptan treating catalyst, Europhtal offers a monitoring of performances during the run of catalyst in order to improve reaction parameters
